Torin Wright

I am currently working as a Political Team Leader at Ampersand. As well as I work as a part-time Caregiver in Washington D.C. I have campaigned, given talks, and interviewed for the human rights issues in Hong Kong. Alongside this, I have taken graduate-level classes in Python, R, Java, and Excel. I have a strong passion for learning languages, proficiently in both Spanish and Italian whilst learning French.

Much of my professional work is done researching and analyzing how to campaign for different politicians and political groups. We have to decipher and understand difficult data on where to targe their media-driven advertisements target. As well as create Excel-based proposals to show the efficacy and reach of the buying location. Furthermore, I have worked to promote awareness of health inequity for disabled persons and aid for refugees and displaced persons.

I have taken graduate-level classes in Python, R, and SQL. In these classes, I learned how to manipulate data structures and program graphs and datasets. I used this knowledge to help me gather data in my senior thesis which was on how the 2008 downturn affected nationalism in Iceland.
