Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I had many opportunities as a registered to train and experience in various specialties. Becoming a nurse practitioner, has also provided the same opportunities to experience and become more proficient in various career paths. While, not at positions for extensive periods of time due to physician retirement, Covid-19, business closings, or changes to personal/family needs, I have gained extensive experience and knowledge that has supported my growth and understanding in an ever changing and growing healthcare system.
My most recent experience has been supporting patient wellness throughout the life-span, prevention of hospitalizations for patients with chronic illness, acute and chronic care, quality care management of various patient health needs, collaboration of community services, ability to utilized various electronic health systems, telehealth, AI assistance, and skills for clinical procedures.

I have worked over the past 10 yrs as a Family Nurse Practitioner in multiple specialties: internal medicine, dept of corrections, gastroenterology, pain management, treatment for substance use disorders, urgent care, occupational medicine and family practice. All specialties have given me to opportunity to enhance my skills and knowledge to provide patients with the support and care they need and deserve. The patient care population is throughout the life span.
Acute and chronic disease management, medication management, proper follow up care, ability to provide in clinic procedures: suturing, wound care, splinting, pre op services and diagnostic orders and interpretation of results. I provide the time for education required for patients. Order referrals to therapy, and specialists and deemed appropriate.
