About
I graduated with my Master of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota with a focus in heat transfer and fluid mechanics. I obtained my Engineering-In-Training Certificate from the state of Minnesota and now I am looking for a full time engineering position.
My masters included advanced classes in heat transfer, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics above a typical undergrad would have. While attending University of Minnesota I also worked as a Teaching Assistance and a Research Assistance. As a Teaching Assistance I worked on the Senior Design capstone project class for mechanical engineering.
This involved supporting multiple teams of approximately four students as they designed a solution to a real-world problem for an outside organization. As a Research Assistant I worked on testing the performance of a Convection Enhanced Evaporation system for brine water reduction using air blown over trays of water. This includes both work on a tabletop system in lad and a full-scale system at the Brackish Groundwater National Desalination Facility.
For the full-scale system I designed, built and utilized a data acquisition system that collected data from thermocouples, flow meters, airspeed sensor, level sensor and conductivity sensors, processing the data using LabVIEW. Once I completed the data acquisition process for both tabletop and full-scale systems, I performed a wide variety of statistical analysis to compare the performance to expected performance. Finaly, I presented my findings in both written and verbal forms.
Experience
Graduate Research Assistant Wright Lab
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN January 2022-June 2023

- Designed and constructed a LabVIEW-based data acquisition and control system.
- Led the installation and testing of a pilot-scale CEE system at the Brackish Groundwater National Desalination Research Facility.
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN August 2021-May 2023
- Assisted teaching the ME department’s senior capstone course over four semesters.
- Mentored 7-15 teams per semester working on a diverse set of industry-sponsored projects.
- Provided feedback on the teams’ approach to engineering modeling, project management, and access campus resources.
Ever Cat Fuels, Isanti, MN June 2019 – August 2019
- Implemented plans for testing for methanol leaks in accordance with government regulations.
- Updated AutoCAD files to be consistent with current plant layout and version of AutoCAD.
- Participated in test coordination meetings. Prepared detailed test plans, reports and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Education
I received my Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineer from the University of Minnesota focusing on fluid mechanics and heat transfer while I was working on my thesis testing a mathematical model for a novel brine management system.
