Under the Personnel Director assists in maintaining liaison between the jurisdiction and the New Jersey Civil Service Commission in matters of personnel administration; coordinates personnel programs, policies and practices for the employees of the jurisdiction; does other related duties as required. - Supervise 11 employees in providing advice and assistance on personnel issues, the maintenance of an employee records system and performing highly responsible field investigations of employee complaints, grievances, and other personnel matters.
- Maintains a job classification and salary plan.
- Interprets rules and regulations affecting employees.
- Disseminates policy and procedural information to appropriate staff.
- Maintains information of employee performance evaluation.
- Reviews labor contracts to ensure that management adheres to contract specifications.
- Provides assignments and instructions to clerical and technical employees and supervises the performance of their work.
