I’ve recently made a pivot in my career from education to horticulture, however my interest in gardening and ecology has always been a key part of my identity. An environmentalist at heart, I’m convinced that the way forward is to reevaluate our definition of an ideal landscape.
In my mind the ideal urban landscape would involve greater efforts to utilize sustainable, lower-impact solutions, to create functional and beautiful spaces that benefit individual humans and backyard wildlife, but also benefit and support our communities and local ecosystems.
Fine art and design are also key parts of my life-long identity and I’m aiming to combine these vocational strengths in my future endeavors.
