Wesley Reaves

I am a 4th-year pre-med student at Ohio University. I am expected to graduate in May 2024. I am looking for part-time work on Saturdays. This summer, starting May, I'm looking for full-time from May until school starts in August, during which I will return to part-time.

I have knowledge of operations and procedures in the following department of OR, ER, and SICU. I was a Head Athletic Training Aid for two years and an Athletic Training for four years, during which I experienced sports-related injuries, treatment, and rehab.

Skills I have are First aid, CPR and AED certification, Conversational American Sign Language, and Spanish.

Two years as a Head Athletic training aid, where I supervised the rest of the athletic training team, provided first aid to injured athletes, and oversaw Rehab for the athletes.

Fours years as an Athletic Training Aid. Responsibilities included providing first aid to injured athletes, pre-game taping, and overseeing and helping athletes with Rehab.

Six years as a mentee at Louis Stokes VA medical center. I was trained on how to put together the Cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO systems and monitor the CATS (cell saver) system. I am familiar with the drugs used for Bypass surgery, how to take blood gases, how to monitor vitals and many cardiothoracic surgeries.

I am currently a 4th-year pre-med student at Ohio University with the goal to attend medical school and become a Cardiothoracic Surgeon.
