Yancy Otero

I am a mother of three continuing my education in mechanics. I have taught in the public school system for the past 5 years and am looking to further my education in something that I truly have a yearning for- mechanics. Cars and everything about them.

I love the independence I had at a young age because of buying my very first car all on my own while a student, waitress and athlete in college. Now I am going back to school to become an automotive technician and then further into mechanical engineering. I have always been very ambitious and independent and have worked very hard for where I am today.

I have worked countless hours in customer service, restaurants and in the education system as well. i have a very diverse background that has lede to learning more about cars, maintenance, and repairs. This career change is leading me to a career in the automotive field and mechanical engineering. I have an equivalent to a liberal arts associate degree with over 70-80 college credits.

I also taught myself how to make music and produce so many instrumentals; after all the music I have made from being self taught and putting in so much work into research and hands on practice, I know I can achieve anything I put my mind to! Thank you for being here :) tomorrow needs you. And our children need us.
