Yilia Zhou

I see myself as a changer supporting for a designer. I am bold, flexible, and confident. I systematically and specifically learned how to use various tools to build and communicate messages and opinions that are visually appealing.

I am a sensitive designer who appreciates self-reflection, so I want to use my design practices to further investigate on public issues. I believe design should not only emphasize on visual appeal, but it should also convey messages. My works often facilitate interpersonal connections and contribute to a positive social atmosphere.

In the meantime, I also intend to explore how to maximize the interaction between graphic design and the audience. I like to combine customized illustrations and 3D modelling in my work to bring playfulness, positivity and whimsy to my designs.

I have had three internships, UX/UI designer at DeFiner, Exhibit Executive for Remote Landing Graduation Show, Graphic Designer at Aranya Theater Festival.
