Kayla Tomlin was born and raised in Santa Clarita, California. She studied illustration at Syracuse University with a focus in Visual Development. Her other interests include storyboarding, editorial and children’s book illustration.
Kayla studied in Florence for a semester learning the art of photography and enhancing her draftsmanship. Outside of her art Kayla enjoys roller skating and a newfound passion for traveling. Kayla enjoys illustration as a medium to tell stories and create compelling images that initiate thought and reveal truth.

Directed the illustration team of Syracuse University's food magazine by conceptualizing illustrations, overseeing illustrative assignments, assisting in any way to the illustrators.

Conceptualized and designed logos for a security company called Walkie Jockey and a rollerskating group based in California called Skating Mama's.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a BFA in illustration.
