Human Resources Generalist: Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, conducted hiring interviews,recruitment, retention, termination, personal records, performance reviews, compensation, benefits, new hire orientation, legal compliance, long-term staffing strategies, performance reviews, revised development and administration of personnel rules and regulations, position request, job classification structure. Placement of job openings on the website; Indeed, Zip Recruiter, Handshake (universityrecruitment, San Bernadino, UCR, College of the Desert), Craigs List, Cal Jobs, Community Resource Centers (DHS, Mecca, Palm Desert, High Desert) and in-house postings. Developed an excel sheet for the hiring department to maintain a record of hiring and count positions within each department. Kept detailed records on Transportation Department as needed, MVR, EPN, and Class B documentation to ensure class B random drug testing. Assisting with administering workers’compensation programs and activities including notification, claims filling, medical provider interface, management, and employee communication and return to work facilitation as needed. Conducted employee and supervisor including benefits, policies, and procedures and prevention of harassment and discrimination. Maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees and the public, foster and promote teamwork and maintain a positive working environment within the Human Resources department.
