In Vitro Effects of PARP-1 Inhibition on Neuroblastoma

Investigated the survivability of high-risk neuroblastoma cells in response to Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 1 (PARP-1) inhibition using seven established cell lines.
Found that cell lines harboring P52 mutations were relatively resistant to PARP-1 inhibitors, while those lacking the mutation showed significant, dose-dependent decreases in cell survivability.
Presented findings as an oral presentation and abstract.

Chlorin e6-Coated Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoclusters as a Theranostic Agent for Tumor Imaging and Photodynamic Therapy

Engineered water-soluble chlorin e6–coated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoclusters (Ce6-SCs) via oil-in-water emulsion.
Designed Ce6-SCs for targeted tumor uptake via the enhanced permeability and retention effect and combined the potential for Photodynamic Therapy from Ce6 with MRI-detectability from the iron oxide.
Proposed the formulated nanoparticles as a single theranostic platform for both tumor imaging and treatment.
Published findings in a journal article.
