I’m a Korean American localization specialist with extensive experience managing the end-to-end localization process for major game titles such as NBA 2K, Borderlands, Marvel Midnight Suns, and WWE. I bring a strong focus on Korean localization, ensuring culturally relevant and linguistically accurate content for Korean-speaking players. My responsibilities include coordinating translations across multiple regions, performing quality assurance on in-game text, UI, and marketing materials, and maintaining brand voice consistency.
I also collaborate closely with producers, writers, and QA teams to resolve localization issues and optimize the player experience. In addition, I manage localization bugs and workflows using tools like Jira and Helix, track issues through to resolution, and maintain clean and updated translation assets and glossaries using platforms like memoQ, XTM, and Trados.
I bring a strong background in game localization and project coordination, with professional experience at both 2K Gaming and MGame Korea. At 2K, I led Korean localization efforts for globally released titles including NBA 2K23–25, Borderlands 4, Lego 2K Drive, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns, ensuring culturally accurate, high-quality translations and seamless cross-functional collaboration. I also managed bug tracking and resolution using Jira and Helix, and maintained translation quality through tools like memoQ and XTM.
At MGame Korea, I gained foundational experience in the Korean gaming industry, supporting localization, QA, and live service operations, which strengthened my understanding of regional gaming culture and user expectations. My combined experience positions me to effectively bridge Korean and Western gaming markets.
