Zackary Rayner

I am a film production graduate from Loyola Marymount University with a minor in Business Administration. As a freelance videographer, gaffer, and camera assistant, I have gained extensive experience in all aspects of video production. My specialties lie in lighting and camera work for both video and photography.

My professional experience includes a range of roles in the film and video production industry, starting with LMU Athletics - Athletic Media Relations Video Assistant from August 2017 to June 2019, where I was involved in directing and operating camera for live sports broadcasting. I then worked at Green Planet Technologies as a Company Videographer from June 2019 to August 2019, where I filmed and edited videos for clients and the company website. In 2021, I worked as a Director’s Associate at Black Valley Films, where I assisted an Academy Award nominated documentary filmmaker with organizing meetings, documents and conducting pre-production research for upcoming documentaries.

Currently, I work as as a freelance videographer, gaffer, and camera assistant on a variety of projects, which include narrative films, commercials, and documentaries. I also currently work part time as a Site Representative at Real to Reel Location Agency, where I conduct location scouts and act as a liaison between the agency and the production during shoots. My professional experience has involved a diverse range of skills in various aspects of video production and coordination.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Film Production and a minor in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University. This education has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary for a career in film and video production, including expertise in camera work, lighting, sound design, and post-production editing. During my time at Loyola Marymount, I participated in the Study Abroad documentary program for a semester in Bonn, Germany, where we were given an extensive training on all parts of documentary filmmaking and each of us made a short documentary during our period abroad.

I also gained hands-on experience in various aspects of video production through internships during my studies and freelance work beyond my studies.
