My name is Zeqiao David Wu, and I recently graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Applied Mathematics. During my studies, I focus a lot on data modeling, optimization, and computational analysis, working with tools like Python and MATLAB to improve data accuracy and system performance.
I very enjoy problem-solving, whether it's building a DVD-based image compression model or designing optimization systems that improve efficiency in AI and robotics. Those projects taught me how important accuracy, consistency, and structured data collection are.
I recently graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Applied Mathematics, where I developed strong skills in data modeling, optimization, and computational analysis. Most of my experience comes from hands-on academic projects where I applied Python and MATLAB to solve technical problems — like building an SVD-based image compression algorithm to improve data efficiency and creating optimization models that supported decision-making in AI and robotics.
Through these projects, I learned how to manage complex data, maintain accuracy over long periods, and approach tasks systematically — skills that translate directly to this operator role. I’d describe my professional experience as analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on turning data and precision into real-world results
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from UC Davis, where I focused on data modeling, numerical analysis, and optimization. My coursework and projects involved using Python and MATLAB to solve complex, real-world problems — like improving system efficiency through optimization algorithms and developing an image compression model using singular value decomposition.
This education trained me to think analytically, stay precise under pressure, and pay attention to small details — all of which are directly relevant to ensuring data accuracy and safety in Tesla’s Autopilot operations
