Antonio Alfarano

I am an Italian Junior Agronomist with a degree in Agricultural Science and Technology and a strong interest in sustainability, climate change, ESG and resource efficiency. My background combines field crop consulting, agricultural monitoring and practical experience with hydroponic and controlled-environment cultivation systems. I am motivated to build my career in Prague, where I previously studied during my Erasmus at the Czech University of Life Sciences.

Field consulting for olive groves, vineyards and cherry orchards, including crop monitoring, identification of pests, diseases and nutritional imbalances, support in fertilization strategies, IPM-oriented recommendations and evaluation of water, energy and input efficiency.

2026 – Present

Technical and commercial promotion of vermicompost-based biostimulants and soil improvers for professional agriculture. Activities include client outreach, product presentations, technical explanations and support for farms, nurseries and agricultural retailers.

Hydroponics & Controlled Environment Agriculture Project – Botanica Zarada

2024 – Present

Practical experimentation with hydroponic and soilless systems, including tomato on rockwool and basil/microgreens on peat-based substrates. Focus on fertigation, substrate performance, PPFD/DLI, VPD, climate control and resource-efficient cultivation.
