I am a single male with 29 years work experience. The bulk of my experience is in the manufacturing environment within the Printing Industry. I have 3 years experience owning and managing a Motor vehicle parts retail store as well as 5 years external sales within the Financial Services Sector as a Financial Advisor for cooperate companies, Sanlam and Old Mutual. During long stent in the printing Industry I have gained,first hand experience, in the finishing department as well as a lithographer operating various machinery. I am currently holding the production management position and been doing so for a total of 6 years.
I am matriculated as well as done the Regulatory Examine as per FAIS requirements, RE5. I also have my N5 qualifications in Financial management towards a Diploma as well as several internal examination certificates with the Financial Services industry.
Working in sales internally and externally gave me experience when dealing with clients on a face-to-face level. Dealing with different personalities and characters exposed me to overcome challenges when dealing with sales and forced me to think outside the box in order to satisfy the client as well as make the sale.
Working as a production manager in the printing Industry is an extremely stressful and demanding position, however having over 2 decades of experience in all departments and roles, I have the abilities and knowledge necessary to meet and surpass the stresses and difficulties on a day to day basis. It is now just another day at the office. My last position included me overseeing the Costomer Services Department as well as factory floor staff and all manager for different departments. On any given day the staff complement was +/-120 employees that I needed to manage.
N5 Financial Management. Being a production manager I was directly involved with Quotations and estimations, stock on hand for different job requirements. Constantly working with figures in Rand value as well as stock quantities. Cost and Management is an ongoing everyday, every workticket, requirement.
Owning and operating my own retail store, Business management as well as Financial account was rule of the day in keeping updated and correct records required.
I would comfortably say Financial Management played an important role in my work life thus far in whatever industry I was employed.
