Charmaine Chetty

I am an experienced teacher who is passionate about teaching. I have been teaching for 4 years.I am committed to helping students to reach their full potential. I believe that every student can succeed in the classroom and I am committed to using my expertise and skills to help my students to reach greater heights.

I have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, good interpersonal skills and believe in using positive reinforcement to reduce negative behavior. I ensure that I use effective teaching strategies and cater for the various learning styles and rates of learning of my students. It is my goal to make a positive contribution to every students' intellectual, social and emotional development and assist them to have a successful future, be responsible citizens and future leaders.

I see teaching as more than a profession. I see it as an opportunity for me enlighten and mould young minds and help them to make a positive contribution in the world around them.

I have taught Grade 7 and 8 English as a second language at United Private Schools in Oman. I taught using the Cambridge British Curriculum. Prior to this I have taught for 3 years at Olympia Primary School in South Africa.I have taught grades 4,5,6 and 7. I have taught English, Social Science and Natural Science. My previous experience was at Lenham Primary School. I have taught grades 1, 2, 5, and 6. The subjects I taught were English, Maths and Afrikaans.

I have a Bachelor of Education degree. I have studied and obtained my degree at the University of South Africa.
