I have a 4-year degree in library- & information sciences, which I obtained in 1992, from the University of North West, South Africa. As a result of my qualifications, I have almost 30 years of experience as a librarian. For the past 3 years, I have been working at an international school in Beijing, China, as a librarian, managing 3 libraries. I was also a freelance facilitator for Macmillan Teacher Campus, from 2010 to 2018, where I was presenting workshops to teachers and volunteer community members, on how to set up, establish and maintain a library.

I have been working in China since 2018, teaching English, and have been a librarian at an international school for the past 3 years. I have been actively involved with the IBDP program, where I am an Extended Essay coordinator, as well as teaching research skills to students. I was also part of the IBPYP authorization team, to ensure that the library is on standard according to the IB program. I am also currently busy with getting the library read for IBMYP accreditation. As my current contract will soon end, I am starting to explore
