In my role, I maintain a balance between acquiring Engineering Insurance business, maintaining a relationship with the intermediary and ensuring runs in alignment with Insurer’s agreed risk appetite in preparing quotations. Ensuring that the company’s well-being is protected by not over-exposing the company to risk and welcoming quality business by analysing the history of Insurance claims from a prospective client, monitoring current trends associated to a risk.
Above all else, these specifications need to be supported by the target of ensuring that rating remains competitive by industry standards.
I am in Insurance professional with 18 years experience in the industry. I have started in Personal Lines insurance in Claims, moved over to Agricultural Insurance Claims and then Underwriting. Gradually I moved over to Construction and Engineering Insurance starting with Underwriting and then moving over to Sales / Marketing within this space.
Marketing Honours Degree at CPUT. Currently working towards achieving my Masters Degree
