Damian Lesch

I am an enthusiastic inquisitive individual with a passion for science and engineering. I have proven to be a noteworthy leader when I lead the mining production team to four consecutive years of profit and success. I am a driven and tenacious leader who ensures that milestones and targets are reached within the agreed upon time frame. My exposure to process monitoring, management and improvement allows for in depth process analysis and control.

During my tenure as the production manager, I compiled technical reports for the board of directors of the mine. My skills and abilities mentioned above makes me a well rounded production manager/engineer and an asset to any production facility.

I have been the production manager at a mine in the cape town wetlands near Athlone. At the inception of the position, the entire production team (from manager to supervisors) were all new to their positions and the learning curve the team had gone through was a steep one.

Myself and my team largely contributed to the company turning a profit for four consecutive years. I have grown into a strong leader and engineer during my time at the mine.

I have completed two degrees from Stellenbosch University (one in chemistry and one in chemical engineering) In my training as a undergraduate chemical engineer, I have been exposed to completing a plant design, project management, and research in the form of a final year scription. During my working experience, I have completed a cours in leadership and business management with Dyna. The course covered leadership principles, basic business management, disciplinary action and the South African Labour Law.
