To validate insurance claims on behalf of the insurer.
Meeting with high profile clients daily conducting an assessment at the risk address after suffering a loss. This entails obtaining the circumstances of the incident, discussing the list of claimed/damaged items and conducting a security check to make sure their security meets with the minimum required security standards. I also compile a detailed Inventory of the client’s household contents to determine if the content sum insured is adequate or not.
When handling building claims, I measure the buildings to determine the value at risk. This will confirm if the building sum insured is adequate or not. At times i also do trauma counseling for victims who have been through armed robberies and burglaries.
I have been working as a loss adjuster for approximately 15 years.
