Creditors Clerk - African Bank

• Process supplier invoices accurately and ensure they are captured on the accounting system.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly
• Prepare and process creditor payments, including EFTs.
• Ensure invoices are approved and supported by the required documentation before payment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date creditor records and filing systems.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve account and payment queries.
• Reconcile the creditors ledger to the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare creditors reports.

Cashbook Clerk - African Bank

• Process and maintain daily cashbook transactions accurately and timeously.
• Capture receipts, payments, and journal entries into the accounting system.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile cashbook balances to bank statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and process electronic fund transfers (EFTs).
• Allocate deposits and receipts to the correct customer or supplier accounts and GLs.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with banks and internal departments to resolve payment and reconciliation queries.
• Monitor outstanding transactions and ensure they are cleared promptly.
• Prepare financial reports and cash flow information when required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Support audits by providing the required financial documentation and reconciliations.
• Perform general finance and administrative duties as assigned.
• Prepare and post General Ledger (GL) journal entries and ensure accurate allocation to the correct GL accounts.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts and investigate and resolve any variances.
• Assist with month-end General Ledger reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
