Dr Sedumedi is an optimistic person. She believes that sometimes in life, we find ourselves walking in a dark tunnel with no light at the end, but if we keep walking with hope and perseverance, we will get to a better place.
Dr Sedumedi obtained her PhD in Psychologist at the University of Hertfordshire, UK. The doctorate explored paternal filicide, the killing of children by fathers, in South Africa.
Psychologist identifies herself as a personal construct therapist. Dr Sedumedi has diverse experience in the field of Clinical Psychology. She worked in a forensic setting at various Correctional Centres and Community Corrections, assessing and treating offenders and parolees, respectively. Dr Sedumedi was a Section Commander, holding a Colonel rank, at the Investigative Psychology Section, in SAPS, in which she assisted in the investigation of psychologically motivated criminal cases.
Psychologist has also worked at different clinics and hospitals administering psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy to children and adult patients presenting with various mental illnesses.
