I truly learned a lit about retail and working in a retail environment in this year.

I was first employed as a pharmacist doing my community service year, after 3 months they offered me the position for Pharmacy manager, I then had to manage the staff, do training of employees, manage the budget and finance that included regulating the clinical trial money.

• I also had to order stock, receive and unpack stock, dispensing of medicine, ward round with doctors and emergency call outs. Here I truly learned how to hone my people skills and my management style.

• Here I work as a quality assurance pharmacist, I oversee the parcels of medication before it is dispatched to it’s final location, double checking of prescriptions, assisting at the regulated medicine department with schedule 6 medicine, training as a tutor to assistants, assisting with the stock receiving and repackage of medicines. We also have to maintain cold chain management.
