Having been in this trade for about 15years and electrical/electronic for over 20years, I have acquired quite a vast experience in different types and makes of products in the industry. Some products has even been discontinued, but as new products came into the market I had the opportunity to familiarize myself with them and even master some of them.
I am mostly self taught as I had to figure out or refer to manuals as new products came in to the market. With my electrical experience of relays, contractors, etc. having my first computer since 1996 and an open mindset it became quite easy for me to figure out how different products work physically and also the software side of things. Many instances I have come up with solutions for difficult clients requests that the suppliers simply shook their heads to using timers, relays, triggers, etc.
I work well in a team environment, but I believe that my best potential is when I am on my own although a second thought does come in handy sometimes. To name each and every product I have worked on would fill a couple of pages. One thing I can guarantee is that I am a fast learner that can think outside the box. If there is something I don't know, I will figure it out and come up with a solution.
