Short Synopsis Thank you for the opportunity to share my synopsis. I have a Publishing and Digital Printing background and would like to make an application for either position where possible. Publishing I have Production Management experience in the Academic, Schools and Trade Publishing sectors. I had a team of Project Managers that reported to me. My main duties were: Costing of ALL Publications (per financial year) Help Publishers determine specifications and selling prices of titles GP% Report on all titles per financial year Sourcing of Prepress outsourced partners ie Editor, Proof-reader, Typesetter, Designer and Indexer Finding the right Printer per publications as all specifications were different Liaising with all Printers on printing and delivery to Warehouse Attended London & Frankfurt Book Fair. Digital Printing I was one third partner of a company called Mega Digital (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town from 2006 to 2016. We serviced all the Publishers in South Africa and surrounding countries with Printing of their titles. Digital Printing done in house and Litho printing projects would be project managed. Position held Sales/Marketing/HR Director Sales Budgets Customer Relationships Part of Management Team that determined buying & replacement of print and finishing equipment HR Marketing R & D Digital Cut Sheet and Ink Jet production machines. Digital Printing I am currently MD/Head of Digital Printing in my current position, we have staff compliment of 52. My core responsibility is working closely with the managers in their respective areas to ensure the smooth running of a factory, making sure we have healthy ROI, making budget, R & D of equipment, Overseeing the sales department to hit budget every month.
