- Asphalt: Take a sample on site
- Split the sample into two
- Return the sample to the lab for testing
- Prepare the sample for testing by putting it into an oven to reheat (temp of 120 degrees)
- Quarter the sample into: Binder, Rice, Grading, Marshall
- Concrete: Mixing of concrete (sand, stone and water)
- Mostly ready mix concrete is used on site but samples have to be taken
- Start with a slump to measure the height
- Make into cube moulds (150x150mm) or (100x100mm)
- Poke with a tamping rod, floated and left on site over night to set
- Collect the cubes then number it and record it into a register book
- Put cubes into a water bath for curing till testing date: 7 14 and 28 days
- Weigh samples on a scale (150mmx150mm = 8kg) and (100mmx100mm = 2,5 or 3 kg)
- Put samples into a cube press machine to test the strength
- Field Work: DCP in 1,5m and 2m
- Profiling

- Dry object in the oven
- Get ready to Jig
