The position was based on a full time consultancy basis. The objective was digitise as much of the current betting information going into the retail environment as possible. This entailed digitising all information related to horse racing (scratchings, card changes, upcoming races, trainer comments, carryovers, UK tips and write ups, etc.), as well as digitising all information related to soccer and rugby betting (upcoming fixtures, past results and dividends, carryovers, game previews and current news).

A joint venture company was formed between Gold Circle and Public Displays Technology called BIT (Betting Information Technology). PDT was bought out by Gold Circle in 2015. The product was then sold onto Phumelela and distributed via the Telly Media satellite network to all outlets under the Phumelela umbrella.

An Information

App was developed taking all the digitised information onto the mobile platform for both Android and Apple. A bookmaker product has also been developed, emphasizing fixed odds betting particularly on soccer as well as results and upcoming lucky number draws. In addition to overseeing all aspects of the content development for the project, I am also responsible for the financial management of BIT.

I was also tasked by Gold Circle to establish a bookmaker operation in Enugu, Nigeria. The task also included setting a provincial lottery (777 Lottery) for the Gold Circle partner in Nigeria. The job entailed negotiating with various government departments and NGO's.

This project required a stay in Nigeria for a 6 month period.
