Debtors clerk at Protea hotel Balalaika (2025-03 – Present)
As a Debtors Clerk, my duties include managing the debtor's ledger to ensure accounts are billed accurately and paid on time. I process invoices received from the Front Office, distribute statements by the 2nd and 15th of each month, and follow up on overdue accounts via phone and email. I negotiate payment arrangements and escalate unresolved accounts in line with company policy.
I also perform credit checks for new account applications, charge credit cards and virtual cards sent to me for payment, handle daily banking and cash-up procedures, and update foreign exchange rates. In addition, I support the finance team with Accounts Payable, stock takes, and general admin duties, while maintaining accurate filing and records in accordance with legal requirements.
Volunteering at SPCA (2026-02 – Present)
A Dedicated volunteer supporting animal rescue and rehabilitation efforts. I provide care, exercise, and socialization for dogs and cats to prepare them for adoption, with volunteer work done mostly on Saturdays. I play with the dogs, take them for walks, and help create a safe, clean, and loving shelter environment while promoting animal welfare in the community.
Junior tour guide at Apartheid Museum (2024-03 – 2025-02)
I held two roles, working as a Junior Tour Guide and a Retail Assistant. As a Junior Tour Guide, I provided informative and engaging tours to visitors from around the world, sharing the history and legacy of apartheid and offering insight into the social, political, and cultural context of apartheid-era South Africa. At the book shop, I assisted with inventory management and customer service, maintained a welcoming store environment, and ensured that products were properly displayed, while also performing regular stock checks to maintain an efficient and organized store.

As a Sales Associate, my duties included providing exceptional customer service, operating the cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Volunteer at Themba animal clinic (2016-03 – 2018-05)
As a volunteer at Themba Animal Clinic, I assisted with various animal care tasks, including feeding and watering animals, cleaning cages and enclosures, and providing exercise and socialization for animals. I also provided emotional support and comfort to animals in the clinic, helped to calm anxious or stressed animals, and assisted with animal grooming and enrichment activities. Additionally, I supported the medical team by assisting with animal exams and procedures, preparing animals for surgery, and monitoring vital signs.
Through my volunteer work, I helped to create a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment for the animals in the clinic's care.
