Jason Hinch is a top South African drummer. The son of a Dr. Professor of classical music (father) and a concert pianist and educator (mother), Jason has been immersed in music and music education his entire life.
After studying Jazz composition and arranging, and Jazz drumming at Pretoria Tech (TUT), and obtaining his BA in Music in 2010, Jason pursued a full-time professional performing, touring, recording and teaching career. Over the next decade he consistently performed over 200 shows a year and recorded dozens of albums in many of the best studios in the country and with a wide variety of artists and bands.
Today, Jason is an in-demand educator in the Pretoria area with over 50+ private music drumming students per week, as well as performing regularly in the band for the 16 times platinum Afrikaans artist Bok van Blerk and many others.
Jason has toured internationally several times, all over Africa, as well as South America and he is endorsed by DW Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Marshall Music SA and Vater drum sticks.
Entry level data analytics professional; recently completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate as well as the Datacamp Python Programmer Career Track. Excellent understanding and proficiency of platforms for effective data analyses, including SQL, Python, R, Google Sheets, MS Excel and Tableau. Strong language and communication skills.
Completed extensive six month job-ready Google Career Certificate training. Demonstrated hands-on experience with data cleaning, data visualization, project management as well as interpreting and communicating data analytics findings. Confidence in transforming complex data into actionable and clear insights. Fluency in computer programming languages Python and R and a solid understanding of Sheets/Excel and SQL.
Completed the Datacamp Python Programmer Career Track. Handled real world coding problems using tools such as Pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, numpy and ggplot2 as well as object oriented programming (OOP).
I also have a Bachelors Degree in Technology: Music for TUT.
