I'm a mature healthy male with sober habits, I have been in the engineering industry for over 31 years to date with a wide spread of knowledge in various departments and roles. I have always believed in proving myself through knowledge and experience gained. I am easily adaptable to new environments and have a proven track record of standing out in the crowd with my skill set.
Majority of all the roles I have filled have exposed me to rigorous team work as well as management of said teams. I work extremely well with others and am not afraid to follow initiative when required, however not to divert from the original scope of work.

Responsible for all communication with customers, managing counter sales team, preparing and checking quotations, ordering spare parts, stock control, monthly stock checks, and overseeing invoicing. Received retrenchment in 2010.
Foreman - GR Pump & Valve
(2010-01 - 2015-12)
Promoted to Foreman after one year. Duties included planning daily tasks, pump and valve maintenance, installation, supervision, and administrative responsibilities such as quotes, failure investigations, NCRs, ordering parts, and payroll. Managed 18-month contract at Shell PE Depot.

Started as Technician handling repairs and maintenance of rotating equipment. Promoted to Site Foreman managing field service teams and projects. Successfully managed Department of Public Works Contract.
Department Manager - Cape Armature Winders (PTY) Ltd - Nelspruit

Promoted to the role of Department Manager overseeing daily duties, maintenance, planning, breakdowns, quotes, time sheets, failure investigations, and subcontractor coordination. Managed 3-year contract for Saldanha Municipality pump stations.
Daily duties included: Completion and overseeing team time sheets, task planning, unit preparation, client communication, job instructions, progress follow-ups, and management meetings. Worked on various pump types including submersible, immersible, lobe, centrifugal, bare shaft, and multistage pumps.
