I am a highly motivated Chemist, looking forward to dealing with challenges that are present in the field of Chemistry, as I possess qualifications in Analytical Chemistry. I possess critical skills from my work experience as a Laboratory assistant in research, Laboratory trainee and Lab technician which are applicable in a laboratory and when operating analytical instruments. I have gained research skills during my work training and through my work experience.

• Manage and promote health & safety, environment, quality, and housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Adhere to safe working procedures, usage of MSDS.
• Participation and leading safety meetings.
• Report all incidents, accidents, near miss to your supervisors and safety reps.
• Sample preparation of solutions and Nickel crystal samples
• Doing analysis on all ICP-OES and ICP-MS sample to achieve good turnaround time.
• ICP- MS/ ICP-OES operation and troubleshooting for analysis of high and low grade PGM samples.
• Preparations and analysis of Base metals in concentrator plant, BMR plant and smelter plant by alkaline fusion and ICP – OES finish.
• LECO operation and troubleshooting for analysis of sulphur.
• ICP AVIO operation and troubleshooting
• Communicating all issues relating to instrumentation work to the supervisor and chemist
• Ensure that all necessary weekly maintenance and daily sensitivity checks are done on all ICP instruments.
• Determination of samples' density, pH, TDS, TSS methods percentage
• Responsibility to conform and comply with the procedures as required by ISO17025, ISO9001 and ISO14001
• Complies and conform to the Laboratory Quality Management System and (ISO17025)
• Preparing and testing of calibration standards, record and save data for new calibration for quality purpose.
• Capturing of data and information on LIMS system
• Receiving and registering of samples
• Checking samples submission forms
• Crushing of button samples
• Sample Fluxing
• Perform glassware, laboratory instructions verifications
