I am a goal driven individual looking for an intern-medical scientist position. I have 2 years of wet laboratory experience in a medical Virology laboratory as a Masters’ student. In addition, I have experience in patient recruitment and screening for clinical trials, excellent communication skills and I am also a team player and a fast learner.

MSc project title: Implementation evaluation and use of methods to identify SARS-CoV-2 genetic variants of significance.

My research project involved the evaluation and development of real-time PCR assays designed to detect different SARS-CoV-2 variants that circulated in South Africa between November 2020 and January 2022. I have acquired vast knowledge and experience in laboratory techniques used in Virology. I performed RNA extractions and ran different PCR tests using various kits and real-time PCR instruments.
