Responsibilities Sourcing
- To identify, evaluate and lead the selection of suitable suppliers of supplies, goods and services based on quality, price and service-delivery as per the strategic sourcing principles and strategy to ensure optimal value for the local (South Africa) Philip Morris region.
- Lead sourcing initiatives and projects through spend analysis, market assessment, supplier selection and negotiations while ensuring value of benefits are being realised at regional level.
- Deliver on cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of innovative/repeat strategic sourcing initiatives.

- Track Supplier performance based on KPI set out in the tender. Manage non-
performances through an action plan over a set out period.
- Mitigate risk by selecting suppliers that comply to set out criteria’s such as Sustainability requirements, Quality conformance and other identified risk areas.
- Ensure contracts and supplier selections forms are valid.
- Maintain the standard and preferred supplier list that the business uses when a requirement arises.

Responsibilities Group Sourcing
- To identify, evaluate and lead the selection of suitable suppliers of supplies, goods and services based on quality, price and service-delivery as per the strategic sourcing principles and strategy to ensure optimal value for the local (South Africa) Parmalat region.
- Lead sourcing initiatives and projects through spend analysis, market assessment, supplier selection and negotiations while ensuring value of benefits are being realised at plant and group level.
- Deliver on cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of innovative strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Establish Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) practices and reinforce through regular benchmarking, periodic RFX's and supplier performance management reporting.
- Team up with key internal business partners to support overall business objectives. Contracts Management
- To identify potential risk areas and mitigate risks, by ensuring due diligence in all contracts and SLA’s.
- Review and negotiate contractual agreements for specific commodities.
- To translate sourcing strategies into contract terms and conditions.
- Monitor and track contract savings especially on milestone contracts where savings can only be realised in the long term/run.
- Manage and maintain the contracts risk register.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish SLA’s to ensure supplier commitment and compliance.
- To ensure that existing contracts remain valid with respects to changes in internal and external environment.
- Prepare Letter of Agreements and Letter of Awards.
- Maintain short term and medium supplier agreements.
- Updating of Addendums and issuing of termination notices to suppliers.
