Currently I am responsible for supplier reviews, purchasing goods for a company to use or sell. This position requires extensive research and the ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage an inventory, evaluate quality goods, and stick within a budget. Duties include building a network of reliable vendors and service providers, negotiating the best contracts, some times inspecting deliveries and meet with potential clients

• Local / Foreign vendor relations maintained / selection activities fulfilled 

• Sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, or finished goods from suppliers and includes price negotiations, terms, and other details of these transactions

• Place orders with vendors
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data 
• Follow up on the orders placed until final delivery / Expediting orders 
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options 

• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies 

• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers 
• Work closely with Supply Planner / Stores Supervisor / Plant manager 
• Global sourcing experience

• Maintain compulsory stock level
• Stock Transfers between warehouses
• Stock take – from start to end
• Maintain BBBEE for procurement pillar score card

• Monthly Reporting on Procurement Spend, Savings and Key Activities.
• Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment 

• Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
• Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

• Good experience of sourcing (market analysis & supplier selection), reviewing technical (internal customer & customer market needs) and market trends & purchasing strategies
