I provide analytic data insights, business and technical problem solving, and leadership. If your team has interesting and challenging data systems problems you must solve quickly, and that requiring a great deal of interaction and testing with the end users, then my experience and skills will be valuable to you.

I can fit in with experienced technical and business leaders, and I am extremely good at supporting and accelerating junior members of my team.

Until my daughter completes school at the end of 2024, I must live in Pretoria, South Africa, which is two time zones ahead of Ireland. I am an Irish citizen. I am good at working remotely, and I can also travel to meet the team if occasion requires it.

I have worked mainly in telecommunications industry in South Africa since 1997. My experience covers coding in C, C++, SQL in many dialects, Python and others.

I've built systems to perform tasks such as:

• Planning multi-billion CAPEX budgets for Radio Access Network investments.
• Analysis and forecast of traffic and revenue of mobile network base stations.
• Detailed data input to marketing campaigns based on mobile traffic data.
• Ingestion of data from numerous and various external data sources into a Hadoop data warehouse.
• Provisioning of subscriber information to the GSM HLR.

Before April 2022 I was a senior business analyst, but I have since been promoted to solution architect, leading the efforts of a team of 12 data scientists, analysts and engineers. We primarily work on analytics of mobile network systems. I've also recently been seconded to work on security projects.

Until 1997 I was studying a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, but I did not finish it.

I have a number of current cloud certifications:

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
• AWS Certified Developer Associate.
• GCP Certified Associate Cloud Engineer.
• GCP Certified Professional Data Engineer.
