Malaika Qhobosheane

I am a creative young content creator and a communication and marketing professional. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance degree from AFDA. I spent more than a year at the Tshimologong Precinct at Wits University as a Communication Intern and later as a communication coordinator, assigned to the Fak'ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival.

I managed the social media programme of the Festival which entails developing social media plans as well as content for the social media platforms and uploading it on the various social media platforms. I also contributed to the organisation of various marketing activities to promote the festival which takes place annually in September and gained invaluable digital marketing skills. I am also proud of having been interviewed live by SABC 404 on 4 October 2023 on the conclusion of the 2023 festival and by SAFM on the Michelle Constant show.

• Acted as social media coordinator for the prestigious Fak'Ugesi Festival project
• Contributed to the development of the Fak'ugesi social media strategy designed to promote the festival and generate attendance and support
• Managed the Fak'ugesi social media platforms – create content such as videos and scripts and post on X, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok

• Answering phone calls, taking messages capturing the contact details and the reason for the enquiry and passing it on to the hosting team
