As a Multimodal Estimator, I work closely with overseas agents, various Airlines and shipping lines, as well as transporters and together we negotiate and liaise for optimal solutions on how to move of cargo around the world. Thereby compiling estimates of how much it will cost to import or export goods in an out country.

Imports Control - Evergreen Shipping

(2013-07 - 2016-08)

• Arranging bookings for shipment.
• Tracking on going shipment, giving client status updates on the shipment.
• Filing documents accordingly to certain routing
• Printing and validating original bill and amending bill of lading.
• Following up with client for relevant documentation
• Invoicing clients

Releasing Clerk - Thrutainers

(2016-03 - 2018-03)

• Accurately receiving, examining and recording the required documents for the receiving and releasing of cargo.
• Making sure that the releasing documents (Groupage Operator's Delivery Release Order (DRO), Customs release notification, which is sent as an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or a release notification from SARS.
• Capturing all the driver's details by checking in the system if the driver has visited the Thrutainers facility before if not then all the details of the driver a captured on the system with a photo of him taken.
• Making sure that the three subsections of the DRO (Delivery Release order), BOE (Bill of entry) and Accounts are filled in correctly.
• Scanning all the relevant documents on the system.
• Printing out a Cargo collect Pass, Pro forma invoice, 2 acquittals' the four documents are then attached to the driver's documents and handed over to the driver.
• Should there be any storage on the cargo the releasing clerk makes sure that the papers are given to the accounts team to confirm storage charges.
• After the charges have been accepted then the cargo can be released.

Import and Export Releasing Clerk - Zacpak Pty Ltd

(2018-04 - 2020-08)

• Accurately receiving, examining and recording the required documents for the receiving and releasing of cargo stored in and outside of the Zacpak facility.
• Making sure that the releasing documents (Groupage Operator's Delivery Release Order (DRO) Customs release notification, which is send as an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or a release notification from SARS.
• Capturing all the drivers details by checking in the system if the driver has visited the ZACPAK facility before if not then all the details of the driver a captured on the system with a photo of him taken.
• Making sure that the three subsections of the DRO (Delivery Release order), BOE (Bill of entry) and Accounts are filled in correctly.
• Scanning all the relevant documents on the system.

• Making sure that always the booking reference is visible on the export documents.
• A releasing clerk makes sure that the driver's details are on the system captured in full details, should it be the first day for the driver to be at the ZACPAK facility, and then the clerk captures all the details i.e. full names, name of the organisation, ID number, and licence. Take a photo of the driver and save the information in the system.
• The release clerk captures the booking reference on the system and prints out a Tally sheet and Export Gate Pass.
• Making sure that the driver's documents together with the printed documents are handed over to the driver.
