In my previous role at the Road Accident Fund (“RAF”), I was employed as the Head of the Compliance Department and as the Deputy Information Officer in respect of POPIA. My duties, amongst others, is driving and implementation of the POPIA Project at the RAF, of which all the details can be seen in my CV. Previously I was employed at Telkom as a Senior Specialist: Corporate Compliance, where I was the Project lead for the POPIA Project, responsible for the rollout of the POPIA Programme.

I have about 15 years’ experience in Legal, Risk & Compliance roles and am passionate about Data Privacy. My key skills, amongst others are, being meticulous & analytical, driven to achieve outstanding results, extremely ambitious and decisive. Further, I’ve gained invaluable experience of reporting and interacting at both EXCO and Board level, so have excellent communications skills.

Further, as stated above, I’m passionate about data privacy, having had the opportunity to roll out POPIA programmes in two organisations, so am more than capable of establishing the POPIA Risk Management Service for Moonstone.

I have a BA (Law) and LLB degrees and I’m admitted as Advocate. I’m a member of the Compliance Institute of South Africa, with a Compliance Practitioner (CPrac) designation. Further, I have completed a Certificate in Compliance Management and in the process of obtaining my Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) Certification. Further I’m in my final year of doing my MBA, so have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of Business Operations
