I have demonstrated co-ordination and leadership skills in a wide range of settings and the ability to operate at all levels from strategic through to hands-on management. I was involved in the Health, safety and environmental committee and as the SACAA approved Flight Safety Officer of the Flight Test department. I was appointed as the SACAA approved Flight Safety Officer of the Sasol Tigers; a civilian jet formation display team.
I am a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomic Society and was Chairman of the Human Factors Integration Team on the upgrade to the SAAF Oryx helicopter project and the Human Factors specialist on the twin turbo prop transport aircraft project. 2007 I completed a Human Factors and Validation course at the Empire Test Pilot School in the UK. 2006 I was accepted by the School of Aviation, Lund University (Sweden) where I completed a program for a Masters in Human Factors and System Safety. In September 2005, I successfully completed an accident and incident investigators course presented by SAS Airlines in Sweden. During 2003 I represented Denel Aeronautics in a fatal aircraft accident investigation for the Cameroon Air Force.
I was the senior associate responsible for quality and standards for Global Aviation Consultants (GAC) who implement and manage Safety Management Systems (SMS) for various aviation companies locally and internationally. I represented GAC in Gabon where I initiated the implementation of a Flight Safety Management System. I was involved in the marketing/presentation of a SMS to a company in the Seychelles. I was involved with the implementation of the SMS in Denel Aeronautics. I am also the chief flying instructor of a local flying school that validates foreign flying licenses and presents bush courses before renting aircraft out to foreigners for flying tours in southern Africa.
I currently hold a display rating for ex-military jet aircraft and have flown ex-military L29, L39, Impala (Aer Macchi) and Cheetah (Mirage 3 upgrade) aircraft, either solo or in a formation at various air shows both local and international. Furthermore, I have flown DC4 and DC3 aircraft part time and have flown HS 748 and F28 aircraft with various regional airlines.
