The South African Radio Astronomy
Observatory offered me the opportunity to work under its Human Capacity Development division in 2020. During my internship, I co-authored a report on the inclusion of women in the development of data science and AI skills on the African continent, using the Newton Fund's Development in Africa with Radio Astronomy Big Data initiative as a case study. Also published was an economics and socioeconomic study of hosting Astronomy Research Infrastructure - An Impact Study of Hosting the Hydrogen Epoch of Reionization Array (HERA) in South Africa.
