My name is Florah Seiphemo known as Mummy. I currently work as a Banqueting and Events Coordinator, where I manage client bookings, follow up on proposals, and ensure all the details are ready for events to run smoothly. A big part of my role is supporting the sales team — I regularly check quotes, contracts, and the sales pipeline to make sure clients get timely updates and nothing falls through the gaps.
Through this, I’ve built strong skills in client communication, organization, and working under deadlines. I’m comfortable using systems to track progress and spotting where follow-up is needed to keep deals moving. My role includes creating detailed quotations and loading them on Optima and Salesforce, managing invoicing and folio closure, and conducting site inspections to showcase our facilities. Beyond coordination, I actively support the sales function by managing client follow-up on Salesforce, responding to RFQs, and converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
This hands-on experience has given me a practical understanding of both the operational and revenue aspects of banqueting.
I am skilled in using Opera, Optima, and Salesforce to maintain accurate documentation, manage event logistics, and track sales pipelines. I pride myself on attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to multitask under pressure while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, including evacuation procedures and fire safety drills.
