I'm not a freelancer or offering any services.And by this I mean that I' not self employed.I use to run an electrical busines with my husband four years ago.We were subcontracting for City Power however the business closed down after I lost my husband due to covid three years ago.
I always have been a normal employee and worked for various banking institutions prior to joining my husband's business five years ago.
I worked at fnb as a inbound and outbound call centre agent for five years.
I then decided to move over to the foreign enchange inviroment within FNB but worked in this department for 1 year as u got at opportunity at Std Bank.
My Std bank contract was temporarily to permanent but within the time I worked there which was only for a year I got a permanent opportunity at Nedbank.
My main responsibilities whilst working at Std Bank was a incoming call centre agent.
The duties expected from me was supplying clients with information on credit cards,increasing of credit card limits,disputes of purchases and requesting new cards if lost or was stolen.Working hand in hand with the fraud department if there were fraudulent transactions suspected.
I moved over to Nedbank and the position obtained was a limit increase administrator.
My duties was to appeal decline credit card limits by clients and review the reasons of declines. I then had to go through the necessary credit checks and review the clients assets and liabilities unordered make realistic and conscious decisions.
I was then appointed to a new roll within nedbank within the finance department where I had to assist with reconciling different suspense accounts.I worked in this department for 3 years and was moved over to the legal recoveries department where I became a legal portfolio administrato . The main duties was to work hand in with different attorneys.My duties was to work on 3 to 4 attorney portfolio's ensuring that the attorneys operate within the national credit act rules and regulations. Regular meeting updates or feedback from the attorneys in terms of their performance.
I also had to assist with client escalation queries.
After receiving all the necessary training,work ethic and experiences I then applied for a team leaders post in which I was successful.
This position obtain eight direct reports and I reported directly to the head of department.
The main duties was to ensure that my staff is fullt equipped with the necessary tools to execute their work performance.
Weekly and monthly performance rating was done.
Monthly meeting with the attorneys discussing performance and concerns.
Ensuring staff attend necessary training if and when training is needed.
Dealing with conflict resolution within my team and always ensuring that the core values of nedbank are respected and followed within my team.
My roll as an legal attorney teamleader ended in June 2017 when I joined our business.
I am a single mom of three boys looking for employment and my passion at this point in time is to be able to provide,care and love them to the best of my ability.I do outside activities aswell like walking or going out with friends just to clear my head space.
