I worked as an Oracle Programmer, where I designed, implemented and maintained Truworths Head Office systems such as Store Finance for retail transactions, Vision for customer accounts, and Fraxion system for CAPEX and OPEX. I supported the daily sales reporting system which provided a detailed statistics on items sold per store countrywide. As a Senior Developer on the team, I oversee various medical aid schemes, including Government Employees Medical Scheme, Bonitas Medical Fund, Fedhealth, Polmed, and SAMWUMED, ensuring that they operate efficiently within the Nexus system. My role involves providing solutions and enhancements to improve the current Nexus application.
I have been involved in several large-scale business initiatives, including the SAMWUMED take-on project, where I served as the lead developer responsible for integrating the entire scheme into the Medscheme administration environment. This included migrating data into our systems and implementing business rules to ensure seamless operation within the Nexus platform. Following the success of this project, I was assigned to the Polmed take-on initiative, where I continue to play a key role in ensuring the effective management of membership-related processes.
