I am a knowledgeable and experienced Environmentalist with approximately 10 years of experience in Environmental Management, working for the Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism.

I prove myself to be a capable, reliable and hardworking person, capable of handling responsibilities like data capturing, report writing and presentation preparations. I have done a lot of project management whilst doing Environmental Management, within the Environmental Impact Management field for the past 9 years.

I am now looking for a new opportunity for me to broaden my skills as well as demonstrate my acquired knowledge.

Environmental Officer

• Managing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process in the province by providing technical input on Environmental Issues and evaluating EIA Regulations by undertaking the following:
• Evaluating and investigating the impacts of various forms of development within the context of EIA process
• Reviewing and correcting applications (application forms for Basic Assessment, Scoping and EIA reports with Environmental Management Plans and specialist reports) on all listed activities in terms of the EIA Regulations;
• Undertaking site visits and drafting site visits report for projects on specific site;
• Drafting and managing all administrative documentation related to the EIA process for all listed activities;
• Drafting of Environmental Authorizations as per conditions to be met;
• Use of National Environmental Authorization Systems (NEAS) software to record and manage all processed applications as well as compiling monthly and quarterly reports;
• Commenting on Environmental Mining/Management Programme Reports (EMPRs) issued as per need within 30 days; and
• Reviewing and Commenting on Development Facilitation Act and water use licenses.
• Reviewing and commenting on reports on water use licenses as well as all SEMA’s (Waste, Air quality, Biodiversity) in general.
• Record keeping and writing of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
• Mentoring experiential learners and interns.
