I’m currently working for the CCMA as Senior Case Management Officer. Key performance areas, supervision of three Case Management Officers and 4 Interpreters of the CCMA, CCMA Office Overseer as there is no Office Manager from 2021 up to date, ensuring the team achieve the set targets /efficiencies as required in the operations in line with CCMA Strategy, managing operations , dealing with internal grievances, counselling , issuing of warnings, screening of cases according to labour statutes requirements [LRA, BCEA, EEA], allocating work for the Commissioners, managing Commissioner’s diaries, creating link for virtual meetings / hearings for the Commissioners and the CCMA users being employees and employers, screen cases to ensure jurisdiction and sift for pre-conciliation. Receive and update cases status on the system, dealing with complaints pertaining cases and responding to complaints in my capacity, conduct investigation and respond to the user, according to the turnaround time on complaints 48 hours and ensure that CCMA values are considered or applicable in dealing with complaints.
Conduct file audit with Case Management Officer to ensure their files are professionally prepared for the Commissioners before cases proceed. Conduct pre-conciliation hearing, draft settlement agreement thereof if the matter is settled, update notes on each case in the system (Case Management System) thereof and ensure that parties are given or e-mailed the copies of the settlement agreement.
I completed Office Management and Technology Diploma NQF 7 or Secretarial Certificate, Specialist Human Resource NQF6 certificate. Further, I recently completed Labour Law Post Graduate Diploma NQF 8 to advance my skills and knowledge that I have acquired in my journey of 15 years with CCMA at the University of Free State, to pursue my career to become more relevant in the field of Labour Law and the market place. This will enhance my negotiation skills and allow me to work brilliantly in the field of dispute resolution or legal field in the workplace.
