I plan and independently conduct substantive and occupational inspections with the aim of enforcing and ensuring compliance with labour legislations namely Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Skills Development Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Unemployment Insurance Act, UI Contribution Act, Employment Equity Act, Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, Skills Development Levies Act and National Minimum Wage. Perform various duties of HR, i.e. recruitment, selection and appointments. Administer leaves forms and other policy documents relating to leave administration. Provide general administrative services in support of the unit and ensure compliance with applicable legislations. Draft submissions, reports, and memorandum and minutes for the unit. Supervision of learnerships and interns. Ensure efficient and effective management of resources. Coordinate Learnership and Internship programmes and monitor the bursary programmes.
