• Assess and monitor the implementation of debt management strategies at municipalities.
• Monitor the preparation and review of monthly debtor’s age analysis and billing versus collection reports.
• Assess and monitor that the municipality accurately budgets for all outstanding debt, provision for debt impairment and the impact thereof on the cash flow.
• Monitor progress on payment of bulk services, SARS, and AG by municipalities.
• Assess and monitor the implementation of revenue enhancement strategies at municipalities.
• Analyse the adopted budget funding plans to determine whether it addresses the identified deficit on the budget.
• Monitor quarterly submission of borrowing monitoring and investment monitoring data strings.
• Provide technical support on quarterly verification of borrowing monitoring data strings and investment monitoring data strings.
