Ø Full factory responsibility including procurement, inbound logistics, production, distribution and customer service within alcohol beverage sector – Brewery, Distillery and Spirits.
Ø Management of 23 direct reports and approximately 400 employees.
Ø £575K automated cereal plant project brought in on time and below budget.
Ø Decommissioning, transfer and installation of a corrugated converting line from Durban to Johannesburg South Africa, delivering savings of £300k.
Ø Setup of new Spirits and RTD (ready-to-drink) factory in Mozambique.
Ø Setup of new Bottling Plant and Distillery in Uganda and development of new brands.
Ø Installation and commissioning of new Krones lines (High speed Rinser, Filler, Capper, Blowmoulder, Labeller, Sleevematic, Packer, empty and full bottle Checkmats).
Ø Driving the Safety Culture through Mindsets and Behaviours. (4500days – 0 LTAs).
Ø Driving reduction of quality defects from over 200 000ppm to less than 20 000ppm in under 2 years.
Ø Team player at senior management level (Supporting 4 sites in South Africa).
Ø Control of £4.4Million budget with management of resource on a day to day basis.
Ø Reduced staff by 60 while maintaining production levels through a redesign of operational processes and improved training and staff utilization.
Ø Played integral role in identifying and transitioning work to outsourced vendors, reducing manufacturing costs by 20%.
Ø Achieved savings of £50k per month through efficiency improvements, waste reduction and labour optimisation.
Ø Maintained BRC (British Retail Consortium) A Grade and retained ISO14001.
