- GMR 2.1 Appointee and ensure health and safety compliance is adhered to by everyone within the workplace.
- Ensure that work/task/activities is carried out safely and taking health and safety employees, asset and public in to account.
- People management.
- Project and contract management.
- Ensure plant health, Serviceability, reliability and availability.
- Responsible for statutory work on boilers and associated equipment.
- Ensure health safety and environmental audit is carried out taking into account all requirements are in place.
- Liase with Local authority on health safety and environmental issues.
- Development and implementation of safe work procedures, Risk assessment and preventive maintenance on all engineering equipment such as 11kv/400 transformers, Boilers, Diesel generators, Cassette filler, Blinding line, intunnel filler, Spawning and dumping machines and all motors and their associated circuits, & substations.
- Spares arrangement and management.
- Ensure proper planning of all weekend maintenance work taking the priority and availability of spares and other resources into account.
- Ensure access to all restricted areas is strictly controlled.
- Arrange, supervise contractors on site and ensure the Quality results are achieved.
- Train, coach and mentor maintenance employees on root cause analysis, remedial actions and performance improvement.
